Our new family is now permanently in place if not legally finalized. We have a six month adoptive placement period during which we will be monitored to make sure everyone is acclimating to the new situation. They are not visiting, they are here to stay. At the end of the six months we will have a court date at which names will be changed and all the paperwork to go with it. I know this is somewhat confusing, but it is the last step in this crazy journey.
For those of you that don't know, it worked out so that our kids came home on my last day of school for the year, and two weeks after finishing my masters. The timing could not have been better. This way Spencer and I will both be home for the initial time period as we all get into this new life.
We want to thank you all for your continuous prayers on our behalf. Please continue to pray that the kids have as easy a time as possible adjusting to their new home. Also, please pray for Spencer and I as we do our best for these young ones.
