My mother-in-law, sister-in-law and her two girls along with me and the kids made a mad dash to Galveston for some beach time. For the first timers the ocean was a little scary at first, although I think the dirty sand was the hardest thing to get over. Soon, they were all headed as fast as they could go into the water. It was probably kind of crazy to be out numbered by children 3 and under, but we made it. We had a great time and it was great to see the grand kids playing together - it was the first meeting. Overall a great success, although I think spacing the car rides out a little further might be advisable.
